Why We Love An Old Ninja

I grew up on these tunes. Every artist name on this list is so memorable for me. I could reel off every track they contributed to every compilation I have.

So yeah, I do quite like Ninja Tune.

It’d been a few years since I’d busted out my vinyl with these tracks on, but they pop into my head constantly, so working out a flow for the mix was easy.

That said, I had to really dig for some of the old classics – Rusty Goes Gaga for instance was only on the vinyl releases of Funkjazztical Tricknology, so getting a digital version wasn’t easily achieved. 

But anyway, if you’ve ever wondered what all the fuss was around Ninja Tune in the 1990s, this mix is the answer. There’s not a weak link on the whole thing. With Coldcut, Fink, Luke Vibert, DJ Food, The Herbaliser, Funki Porcini, Kid Koala and Amon Tobin all present and correct, this is a must listen. On repeat!
